9. Two Sun TS80 New Pocket Folding Knife

- Titanium alloy handle
- Carbon fiber
- Handle length is 4.72 inch
- 3.4 OZ Weight
- Satin Finished
- Folding Blade System
- Blade Open by Thumb Stud
- Titanium Alloy Knife Clip
- TwoSun Brand Knife
For this knife in this version the strength is it’s an excellent, sharp blade, the knife has great balance, and the design, while heavily stylized, fits my hand well and offers strong grip. It’s fairly easy to flip open one handed, and the blade looks fairly impressive when you do so.
The main issue with this version of the knife is that the clip is extremely tight that is why this top camping knives — it can be hard to clip onto something thick, even heavy denim pockets. Titanium can be bent in a vise – wrap in a towel to avoid scratches – and bending it outward just the tiniest bit does make it a lot easier to clip onto your pocket.
This knife is very front heavy; it wants to slide out of the hand if not held securely. It is also very heavy over all. The pocket clip is way too grabby, due to its sharp corners at the contact point. I had to file the clip down to make it usable. My sample has a strong station problem; it’s too hard to close the blade.
10. Two Sun New Camping S90V Carbon Fiber
- Overall Length: 220 mm
- Blade thickness 4.0 mm
- Blade length 95 mm
- Weight: 132g Blade
- Sandvik S90V Steel Handle

- Awesome and Great Looking
- Ergo Handle
- Razor Sharp Blade
- Excellent Oughness
The version i bought back in May is labeled 12c27, but they may have upgraded steel. I can’t speak to the real composition; or more importantly the quality of heat treat on the new ones.
On mine the blade is very thin & slices, with a very delicate tip. Action is really good, looks awesome; handle ergo are probably my least favorite aspect. If its s90 done well, it’s definitely worth it. This so much best knife for hiking camping.
TIPS BEFORE BUYING for the Best KNIFE
Before proceeding with the purchase of a knife, it is necessary that you take into account characteristics of the piece that go from the style, the type of the leaflet, the weight, the handle, the size, etc., despite my experience It has led me to determine that the most important thing will be the construction materials, the length and the thickness of the blade of said razor.
Another of the things you should keep in mind, is that a knife is such a versatile tool, whose designs can help you in different situations ranging from setting up a camp, cooking, cutting branches, locating on the mountain, and even saving your lives Therefore continue with me so that you learn what are those elements that I usually check before acquiring any of these hiking blades.
Many people consider that the dimensions of these tools are not important, but if you want my opinion in the case of an emergency situation, if you have bought any of the series of small knives of 5 or 7.5 centimeters, it will not be very helpful when you have to build an emergency shelter under the weather or when you have to cut branches or other types of wood harvest to make the fire.
Therefore, the most recommended is that knife whose blade oscillates between 11.5 and 13.97 cm.
Fixed or Folding Blade
Another important point about an ideal knife is to consider the joints or hinges and, whether or not you have a full tang. If you do not have this last element, you will surely have in your hands a useless tool to open things. In this regard I suggest you opt for the pieces with a fixed blade or full tang since it will be more durable in the long run and will withstand different levels of use and abuse than folding tools.
However, I cannot deny that in case you opt for the folding model, you will enjoy the advantage of portability, being able to comfortably carry it in a pocket rather than in the belt.
Tang or Tang
This feature refers to the construction of a knife in terms of its spike. If this is complete, it means that the metal part of the blade extends to the end of the handle in a continuous piece. The grip is built around the rear end of the metal, so that the blade will not be released from the clamping area, resulting in knives and knives that have been manufactured in this way are durable and do not loosen with use.
When you buy a knife you can notice that in some cases your selection has an outstanding tip at the end of the blade, but it is not simply the edge of the metal part, but a small extension that can be used for cleaning the fish in a more effective way, to drill elements that you want to join through a hole, and even scrape splinters, etc.
Cylinder Head Knob
As you may have noticed, a knife must be effective and effective in all its parts. The back of these tools is no exception, so some specialized models are equipped with an extra solid area that facilitates the breakage of glass in case of being trapped in a glass window. In the same way it can be used for self-defense, to crush a small piece and you can even find some versions that incorporate a hammer in said end.
As for the knob of a knife, I can suggest that you verify that it is resistant and suitable to withstand all extreme weather conditions, such as snowfall, downpours and even hugging temperatures. In some cases you can find in the market hollowed handles to store matches, nylon, needles, hooks, etc., however, if this is your model, you should know that it will not be full tang.
Most people who want to buy or use a durable knife for the first time, sometimes do so unconsciously and end up acquiring any model. In short, I can tell you that there are mainly two of these tactical knives.
The first has a leaflet with a broad drop tip, which reinforces the solidity of the entire piece.
The second is a clip-tipped blade, which is usually manufactured with a narrower tip design, which allows you to punch or stab. However, it has the disadvantage of deteriorating faster if used to open objects.
Both versions can also have a jagged edge which can be useful when collecting and cutting small logs and branches.
If you have a tactical knife with a fixed blade, you will undoubtedly need a good protector to sheath it and to hang it from your belt or perhaps a strap system to carry it on the leg. It may also be useful to review when this article has other compartments to transport a whetstone, matches or other implements.
You should also review and ask yourself about the material in which the piece was made: Is it leather or nylon? Is it light or heavy?
Regardless of the model you choose, a survival knife is manufactured in two types of steel: stainless steel and carbon steel, let’s see some details of each.
Stainless steel: They are resistant and perennial, practically indestructible and will not rust even if a downpour falls. However, one of its disadvantages is that its blade loses the edge frequently, unless you keep a good care of the piece.
Carbon steel : The great quality of this type of field knife is that they are able to keep their blade sharp for much longer, which will favor your excursions, since you will not have to carry a grinder in your backpack; On the contrary, this tool is vulnerable to the weather and will require special care to prevent oxidation.
The most suitable survival knife in my opinion is the one that ranges between 15 and 38 cm. Also talking with other hikers and friends of camping in the most varied outdoor environments, we have concluded that these dimensions provide optimal performance, weight and maneuverability suitable for cutting firewood and threads, creating a spear, preparing the dinner, among others, etc., are also much more practical than carrying an ax in tow. This the best specification of a best camping knife.
How to Wield the Knife
Wielding a hunting knife is extremely important, as it will depend on the correct performance of the activity and also reduces the chances of any accident. When it comes to grabbing this article, it is essential to take into account that the thumb is like the aim of a rifle, because the accuracy of the cut, blow or movement that is being made at the moment will depend. It is also important to mention that if you wield the knife with the tip down to find a good lunge.
